3° CERCHIO BY D.VISIONE

3°Cerchio is a pizzeria/ice-cream shop placed inside a private area characterized by the presence of a nineteen- century  villa, surrounded by a wide garden. The third circle evokes the Dante's “greedy's circle” and expresses the will to create a pleasant and interesting place, open not only for the customers,  but also for residents of the city area, who desire to find a welcoming and safe place, far from the city chaos.
The architectural sign that best expresses this need is the circle, historical symbol of protection and harmony and in the same time icon of endless movement.
The place provides an unconventional consumption sort, that allows customers to taste the food moving freely inside the garden that is on different levels.
The garden is generated by the overlap of circles with different dimensions, from which intersections and gaps derive, setting up different spaces for tasting, walking and stop.
In the area there are 4 living islands, where people can eat single portions of pizza or ice-cream. The islands are placed in the 4 garden corners and they are inside corten made spirals. Tasting can be done in different stop areas – seating, lying  or at a table – furnished in different ways and with grass surfaces enhanced by bright colors.
A few Round free standing basins  (part of the Faraway collection by Kos) are positioned  in the garden acting also as  ornamental elements.
